Ensure accounting and financial records are properly, accurately, and confidentially maintained to reflect activity in the business and that comply with applicable accounting standards.
Essential Functions:
- Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties
- Process payroll
- Prepare and record journal entries
- Prepare the financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements and ensure timeliness, accuracy, and confidentiality of the financial statements
- Conduct account reconciliations and various financial analyses
- Maintain fixed asset records
- Perform cost accounting activities, including analyzing job costs and reporting scrap
- Process field service billings
- Calculate commissions for in-house sales staff and outside agents
- Prepare sales and use tax and commercial activity tax returns
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Assist with the preparation for the annual financial review by outside CPA firm
- Help with the development of reports for management or regulatory bodies
- Serve as backup for domestic/international shipping duties in the absence of the Logistics Coordinator
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and five to ten years related experience or more years of work experience with an Associate degree.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and suppliers.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations: CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Ability to speak/read/write in English and to work with others in high-stress situations. Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must have a good attendance record, be dependable, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Requirement: All employees are required to pass the pre-employment physical as well as a pre-employment drug screen.
